Since its establishment, CHP has rapidly built its brand and developed rapidly in both quantity and quality. 

The outstanding achievements of CHP include:

- Develop a professional management system, ensure the transparent operation and effectiveness of the organization. CHP has always taken seriously the reporting, auditing regime and management principles stipulated by the State management agencies. International auditing was applied to projects and CHP from the first year of operation.

- Build a reputation for quality and performance in the field of HIV/AIDS and community development

- Develop a monitoring tools and system which were recommended by the donor to other organizations.

- Successful implementation of several pilot interventions for HIV prevention among the most at risk populations (drug users, men who sex with men and female partners of people living with HIV and drug users) and shared widely the results of research and intervention models in the domestic and international workshop.

- Ability to train many skills needed for the development of civil society organizations, especially the intervention skills for HIV prevention.

- Extensive experience in building and developing community based groups. CHP consecutivelywon projects to build capacity for community groups in the area of ​​HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support. Experience in building capacity for self-help groups of people living with HIV and the most at risk population helped CHP to become the leading organization in this field.

- Perform humanitarian multiple projects efficiently, resulted in great social impact which have been highlyappreciated by local authorities and community. CHP projects bring direct benefits for disadvantaged groups such as people living with HIV, drug users, orphans, vulnerable women and girls. The project provides special social impacts include:

  • Project support (HIV/AIDS) orphans to schools: This project directly supports hundreds of orphans in. Ha Long and Cam Pha city through support for orphans in the community. Children get comprehensive support including monthly living expenses, money for educational support life skills training and gifts on the occasion of the events of the year. The total amount of direct support to children from 2007 at about 2.6 billion VND and primarily be allocated directly to caregivers of children. This project has been considered by the local authorities and communityas the project resulted in broad social impact in supporting development of vulnerable orphans to enable them to continue to go to school, reduce stigma and discrimination and poverty for hundreds of households in Quang Ninh.
  • Project of community based care and support for people living with HIV and orphans & vulnerable childrenin Nghe An: This project provides support and direct care and support for thousands of people living with HIV in Nghe An, including home based care, nutritional support, hospitalassistance and travel support for poor PLHIV. The project clearly made anfootprint and is rated as one of the most efficient project in Nghe An, provided significant contribution to the reduction of stigma and discrimination. Travel support activities helped hundreds (295) poor PLHIV from the mountainous districts of Nghe Anto receive medical care and treatment at Vinh city (travel costs is about 3 million VND / person / year).
  • Capacity Building Project for self-help groups of PLHIV and MSM: This project has enhanced the capacity for self-help groups in 11 provinces nationwide. The model of capacitybuilding and conversion from self-help groups to social enterprises (5 companies) by PLHIV has caused enormous social impact in reducing the stigma discrimination, creating jobs for PLHIV and help people have confidence. Particularly Hope cooperative in An Giang not only create jobs for tens PLHIV, but also create jobs for many poor families in the locality.
  • Project Empower CSOs to successfully implement harm-reduction initiatives in Hoa Binh, Bac Kan, Tuyen Quang: This project has helped to establish 16 self-help groups of drug users and PLHIV in three provinces, including the province without self-help groups of PLHIV (as Tuyen Quang). Groupsdemonstrated capacity in design, implementation and management of  community activities, including HIV prevention interventions and livelihood activities for drug users and PLHIV.
