With strong leadership and management, CHP has developed rapidly but in a carefully controlled way over relatively few years. CHP is currently served by a multi-disciplinary team of staff who have background and experiences in medicine, public health, psychology, sociology, economic, social work, child development, accounting and management. CHP staff are capable in programme design, management, monitoring and evaluation, research and training over a broad technical range.

CHP has constantly developed management and technical capacity. Management tools including a documented staff policy, an operation manual and financial guidelines have been developed, applied and are updated regularly. The management system of CHP, with a strong team of fulltime staff in support, has proved its strong capacity to manage an increasing annual budget including effectively managing small grants for community-based organizations.

With the successful application of programming tools for quality assurance, CHP has accomplished 13 projects and is implementing 2 projects the areas of HIV prevention, care and support; child development; skills training for outreach workers and capacity building for self-help groups of PLHIV and MSM. CHP has been training for outreach workers, peer educators, and health educators working for intervention projects targeting the most at risk populations in provinces of Vietnam. 

We are capable of implementing the following activities:

  • Designing and implementing studies to identify and advocate for effective interventions in community health and development, especially for HIV/AIDS interventions, and caring for orphaned children and vulnerable children.
  • Implementing interventions in the same areas of work
  • Building capacity for community-based organizations and self-help groups working in the areas of health care, health education, and community development.
  • Managing small grants and providing technical and managerial support for CBOs
  • Supporting vulnerable groups with employment and income generation (livelihood) opportunities.
  • Providing consulting services on project design, implementation and evaluation in working areas.
