School-based IEC activities were proposed to conduct in 5 targeted schools. However, after meetings with the PMB, Department of Education and school officials, 8 schools were selected instead of 5. The extended schools were recommended due to the fact that pupils of those schools are also from 4 targeted communes and under high risk of trafficking. The school officials were also trained at the 2 training courses to become school communication officers.
There are three main IEC activities for schools, i.e. Information and Education, Writing/ Drawing contest, and Performance competition on prevention of human trafficking.
