Objective: to develop and implement effective and efficient HIV prevention interventions targeting MSM, MSW and TG in Hanoi

Project description: The project employs peer education approach with focus on the major activities as follows:

• Outreach peer education
• Drop in centre: BCC
• STIs clinic
• Structural interventions in entertainment establishments
• Promotion of condom and lubricants
• Access to STI/HIV/AIDS services

Key Achievements

• 8,569 MSM/MSW/TG reached.
• 1,315 MSM/MSW/TG used HTC services.
• 1,903 MSM/MSW/TG used STI services.
• 2,107 MSM/MSW/TG attended group communications
• 170 health educators, peer educators and collaborators trained on HIV/STI, gender and sexual health.
• 69,893 IECs; 82,358 condoms; and 56,133 lubricants distributed
• Capacity of two self-help groups of MSM improved
