Training of trainers on group education on HIV/AIDS prevention in the Southern region

QĐND Online – On the morning of July 29, in Can Tho city, the Military Medical Department (Ministry of National Defense) opened a training course for group education teachers on HIV/AIDS prevention and control in the South.

Participating in the training course were 47 comrades who were military medical chiefs of regiments, brigades, divisions, officers of preventive medicine teams, military medical departments of military zones 5, 7, 9; 3rd and 4th corps and the Navy.

During the two-day period, the trainees will research and exchange the following contents: Basic knowledge about HIV/AIDS; risk assessment for sexually transmitted infections; Introduction to group education communication, peer education communication skills...

The training course aims to train the teaching staff of group education on HIV/AIDS prevention and control, on that basis, to train and build a team of instructors for group education on HIV/AIDS prevention and to establish a transmission system. Communicating group education and implementing group education on HIV/AIDS prevention for new soldiers at grassroots units throughout the army.
